NATUR-SMART.- Tender offer for forestry works in the pilot area V of Piñor (Ourense)
The Galician Forestry Association is issuing a tender for the forestry work to be carried out in pilot area V of Piñor (Ourense) within the NATUR-SMART project.
The maximum budget is €39,000 (21% VAT not included), with an execution period of 4 months.
The work aims, among others, to consolidate a quality pine mass, through selective thinning and pruning; to promote the installation of leafy species, as well as their consolidation through selective clearing and manual pruning and to reduce the biomass of shrub-like trees to minimize the effects of possible forest fires; to eliminate invasive species such as acacia or mimosa and to maintain and recover forest paths and tracks.

The NATUR-SMART (intelligent nature) project aims to offer different examples of how agroforestry activity can be recovered in abandoned territories or in the process of abandonment, as a last effort to reverse this trend when there are still possibilities.
NATUR-SMART has the support of the Fundación Biodiversidad of the Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica y el Reto Demográfico (MITECO) within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), financed by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
