Chestnut pruning workshop for chestnut production

As part of the training activities at the Pico Sacro Demonstration Forest, the Galician Forestry Association is organising a Chestnut pruning workshop for chestnut production.
The workshop is free, It will be delivered by an expert in chestnut pruning for fruit and will take place Friday 6th August at 5 p.m. no Demonstration forest of Pico Sacro (Boqueixón), in accordance with the following programme:
5:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Theoretical session
- The fundamentals of pruning
- Hand and mechanical tools
- Health precautions and disinfection of pruning tools
5:30 pm – 7:30 pm Practical session
- Training pruning
- Fruiting or production pruning
- Sanitary pruning
