Movements of forest owners wishing to sell timber during the state of alarm
| The Operational Coordination Centre of the Xunta de Galicia, at its meeting on 14 April, approved, at the proposal of the forestry sector organisations, a document that will serve to justify the movements of those who wish to sell timber and need to leave their confinement to show it to companies interested in buying.
The model, which you can download on this link, justifies the displacement as a necessary activity to ensure the supply to the industrial cycles established as essential in Law 8/2011 of 28 April, which establishes measures for the protection of critical infrastructure, and in accordance with Article 18 of Royal Decree 463/2020 of 14 March, declaring a state of alarm for the management of the health crisis caused by COVID-19.. The company, or companies, interested in purchasing the timber must provide the person who owns or manages the plot where the timber is to be sold (or a representative of a community woodland association), with this completed and signed document. The forest owner must carry this document with them to justify their visit to the woodland for the sole purpose of showing the lot for sale. If you need to go out for this reason, you must comply with the mandatory prevention and protection measures established to contain COVID-19. |
